Our Story
The Name
The French Bulldog logo is in remembrance of the founder’s beloved pet and companion. With a growing popularity worldwide in bubble tea, two local residents in Gaithersburg MD were inspired by Bobapop’s motto to offer refreshing drinks with premium ingredients and decided to open a store in the Kentlands in 2018 - the first Bobapop USA store!

The Ingredients
What you get in your cup of BoBaPoP is premium tea leaves from Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam and India. Many of the toppings are made in-house, with lactose-free, caffeine-free and gluten-free options that are both healthy and delicious.
We source local fresh ingredients regularly with industry-leading filtered water to achieve the highest quality drinks.
The Brewing Process
With each tea drink, we slow brew the tea leaves to extract the tea essence and aroma. By using industry-leading water filtration and aeration technology, the moment you get your drink, it is with the highest level of antioxidants. We make small batches of tea every hour to ensure freshness.
Advocating Sustainable Solutions
We are constantly exploring new and sustainable ways to reduce our environmental impact. Here are what we've done so far:
Stainless Steel/Bamboo Straws: These reusable and premium food-grade straws are now available for purchase in-store. * Premium food grade stainless steel material (grade 316 stainless steel) and bamboo - higher corrosive resistance than common 304 stainless steel straws found on Amazon and other stores. * Each set consists of a straw wide enough for bubbles, an angled tip for going through seals easily (though not sharp enough to ensure safety) and a cleaning brush.
Freshly Brewed Tea: We brew our drinks in small batches, rather than in large quantities and thrown away at the end of the night. Our process results in little to no waste and ensure our tea maintains its freshness.
Energy-Saving LED bulbs: All of our lighting are equipped with eco-friendly low-energy use LED bulbs. Furthermore, our bathroom, storage and break area are all equipped with motion-sensing lights for energy saving.
Sustainable Paper Supply: Our customer napkins and paper towel come from sustainable forest sources and 100% recycled fiber.
Cup Holders: Our 2 & 4 cup holders made with recycled and post-consumer content. These are sturdy, reusable and recyclable.
Hot drinks cups & sleeves: Our hot drinks are made with recycled paper and environment-friendly cup sleeves,
Environmental-friendly cleaning supplies: all of our antibacterial/antiviral soap, cleaning supplies are eco-friendly and food-grade.
Sample cups: We love sharing samples, so we use biodegradable sample cups. Sample away! We are just getting started - sustainable technologies are often cost-prohibitive for small businesses and don't always work as well as the technologies they replace. However we are in contact with several local vendors in the US and international vendors in Taiwan, Vietnam and Europe about doing more - stay tuned for more updates as we continue to innovate.
